Dr. Sifri is an ophthalmologist, a physician (Medical Doctor) who is a specialist in medical and surgical treatment of the eyes and their associated structures. After completing college and four years of medical school, a physician must undergo four more years of specialized training before becoming an ophthalmologist. This specialized knowledge is refined and updated by taking additional courses at medical centers and attending professional meetings to inform the doctor on new advances in eye care.
Dr Sifri is a Cincinnati native, who graduated with honors from Oak Hills High School and Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, participated as a Glaucoma Research Fellow and the University of California, San Diego, then completed his internship at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. He finished his residency in Ophthalmology at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
He Is certified to do no-stitch cataract surgery and laser surgery for nearsightedness, macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetes. He is currently in private practice in Cincinnati, Ohio and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Cincinnati Society of Ophthalmology. He has also been an ophthalmic consultant for the Cincinnati Reds since 2010.
Dr. Sifri has received multiple awards, including Top 10 Ophthalmologist in Ohio, Top Doctor in Cincinnati, the Patient Choice Award, and Compassionate Doctor Recognition.
